Detailed Day-to-Day Itinerary

1DAY

Drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan

6:00 AM – Our tour starts around 7 AM; we board a tourist bus in Kathmandu and travel to Sauraha, Chitwan. Our final location is 155 km from Kathmandu, so getting there takes about 5 to 6 hours.

12:00 PM - We are greeted by refreshments upon arrival at the hotel and then escorted to our designated rooms. Following refreshments, our tour guide will inform you of the day's events. After freshening up, while taking in the breathtaking vistas of the forest and wildlife, we’ll savor the regional cuisine of the Terai.

2:00 PM- After a filling lunch break, we begin our safari tour with a lavish ride on an elephant's back or a safari jeep, based on your preference, from which you may get a broad, efficient overview of the Chitwan National Park's flora and fauna. You can see uncommon creatures and species on your Jungle Safari Trip, like one-horned rhinoceroses, Bengal tigers, pheasants, etc. You will get a chance to visit both the Crocodile and Elephant breeding center where you can pay to bathe and interact with elephants, along with witnessing various rare and endangered species once you go to the heaven of wildlife.

Later that evening, you can witness the sunset beside the bank of the Rapti River. After the sunset, we explore a secluded Tharu village with a vibrant cultural heritage. You can savor their distinctive dishes while also gaining a sense of their rural way of life, culture, and heritage.

7:30 PM- We enjoy our dinner beneath the stars after a tiring day of exploration. You can taste traditional regional cuisines such as Nepalese Dal & Bhat, Gundruk, pickles, kebabs, ghee, and sweet yogurt for dessert. For those who prefer to spend more time in the forest, bonfire facilities are also available.

8:30 PM- One of the first tribes to inhabit this area was the Tharu. They are well known for their own traditions, meals, and artistic expressions. Following supper, you'll enjoy a melodic night where Tharu performers will enliven the occasion. After the fun session, we’ll be spending our night at the hotel itself.

Full day activities in Chitwan

Today we will relax and enjoy the Chitwan Safari for the full day. Depending upon yesterday's arrival time in Chitwan, we will complete all the activities that were left on Day 1.

Most people prefer to do the Jungle safari on Day 2 as they have a full day to explore around. The activity timings are totally flexible and can be changed according to the conditions.

Today's activities include Jungle Safari (Jeep/Elephant), Jungle walking, canoeing, Elephant Breeding Centre Visit, etc.

Activities in Chitwan and Drive Back to Kathmandu

6:30 AM – You’ll get a wake-up call from the hotel’s staff and we’ll leave for an early breakfast downstairs. 7:30 AM – After the delightful breakfast, we make our way to experience the chirps of varieties of birds such as Bar-headed geese, Bulbul, Buzzards, Eagles, Myna, peacocks, and many more. 8:00 AM - You'll be led by a tour guide on a visit to a typical Tharu hamlet where you can discover their distinctive culture, attire, architecture, language, way of life, and the well-known Mithila artworks.

9:00 AM – With an early morning tour round the Sauraha Hamlet, we pack our bags and check out from the hotel, departing for Kathmandu.
