The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek takes you to the heart of the Annapurna region from Pokhara's busy, bustling city. The 4-day journey begins with a drive from Pokhara to Ulleri via Nayapul and Tikhedhunga. The trek starts from Tikhedhunga, where you will get to Ghorepani, an ancient ethnic Gurung village. You will get to enjoy the scenic drive surrounded by hills and beautiful views of mountains from afar.
Passing through places like Ghorepani and Ghandruk, the trek gives you a taste of the local life and stunning views every day. Day 2 : Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani(2860m)
Our second day of the hike begins after a warm breakfast at our teahouse in Ulleri and will end at Ghorepani (2,860m).
The trails offer magnificent views of the Annapurna range, Macchapucchre, Dhaulagiri, and Hiunchuli. You will trek through the rhododendron forest to end the day at Ghorepani. Ghorepani is also home to more than eight species of Rhododendron flower. If you are trekking during March-April, get ready to be overwhelmed with the beautiful rhododendron forest.
Today's hike is more pleasant as we walk through the forests and encounter multiple rivers. Upon reaching Ghorepani we check in our permit for the second time and head towards our respective teahouse.
We Have our lunch and spend the rest of our time talking and playing indoor games, we head to bed early because we wake up early tomorrow for the big day.
Day 3 : Early Morning Hike to Poon Hill(3,210m) and Trek to Ghandruk (2,000m)
We wake at 4:30 am and get ready for a short hike to Poon Hill viewpoint (3210m).
The short hike is about 45 minutes ascend.
Since it's very early we may need to carry a head torch to make it up to the top.
Once we reach the top we wait for the first rays of the sun to strike the Annapurna range, Macchapucchre, Dhaulagiri, and Hiunchuli mountains making it an unforgettable experience. We take some pictures and spend some time on the hill, after that, we return to our Ghorepani teahouse.
We will continue our descent after a local breakfast at Ghorepani. The trail will take you through the dense forest in Deurali and finally reach Ghandruk (2,000m) after about 6-7 hours of walking.
Ghandruk is a beautiful Gurung village surrounded by beautiful mountains in the Annapurna range so expect a good view for tomorrow morning.
Day 4 : Trek down from Ghandruk to Birethati and catch a bus to Pokhara
We wake up early in the morning to take a glance at the Annapurna mountains with a hearty breakfast. After breakfast, we are on our last leg of the 4-Day Poon Hill Trek.
We start trekking downwards making our way to Nayapul, We have our lunch once we reach Birethanti, check out our permits, and continue hiking to Nayapul we then catch our bus back to Pokhara calling an end to our hike.
Once we reach Pokhara our trek officially ends.

The transportation from Kathmandu to Pokhara is not included in the package as this trek starts from Pokhara, however, Hiking Bees can arrange transportation from Kathmandu to Pokhara and back as well depending upon your preference.
You have two options to reach Pokhara from Kathmandu and vice versa.
You can take a domestic flight from Tribhuvan Airport and reach Pokhara by a 30-minute flight. This is the most efficient way to reach Pokhara from Kathmandu.
If you want to choose the ground transportation option, then You can take a tourist bus from Sorakhutte, Near Thamel. The bus ride will take about 8 hours to reach Pokhara. The cost of the bus to Pokhara is approx. $15 per person.
If you want to make your tour private then you can also hire a private car or a jeep to reach Pokhara.
Pokhara is about 200km from Kathmandu.
We will be taking a shared jeep or a public bus from Pokhara to reach Ulleri, the starting point of the trek. with an extra additional cost, you also have the option to hire a private jeep as well.
