Langtang Valley Trek Overview

The Langtang Valley Trek is one of the most famous and renowned treks in Nepal. It is one of the most accessible trekking areas in proximity to the capital, Kathmandu. Located just 123 km north of Kathmandu, near the Tibetan border, is one of the most suitable trekking trips for anyone willing to do a short and easy trek in Nepal within 5 to 7 days.

Even though Langtang Valley lies in such close proximity to Kathmandu and is accessible by a day drive, it still is not very renowned like the Everest Base Camp Trek or the famous Annapurna Circuit

The Langtang Trekking Trail is a great and unique point with a blend of the native Tamang culture and the Tibetan culture. The trail goes past the Langtang National Park, a beautiful landscape filled with an abundance of stunning flora and fauna and pastureland of Yaks. There is a wide range of plants and animal species to see, including one of the rarest animals, i.e., the red panda, alongside a diverse range of vegetation.

This trek introduces you to uniquely fascinating culture and traditional practices of Tamang, Buddhist, and Sherpa culture in addition to the structural attractions of architects like monasteries, one of them being renowned Kyanjin Gompa, found near Tserko, which is a symbolic representation of the cultural manifestation and its development.

Our 7 Day Langtang Valley Trek begins with a 7-8 hours' drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. The trail traces the flow of the river Langtang as it makes its channel through the settlements of Bamboo, which is lightly populated alongside Lama hotel and the beautiful hamlet of Langtang. Our feet will be on the land of the trail hitting the route from Langtang village to Kyanjin Gompa.

Following that, you’ll hike to Kyanjin Ri and Tserko Ri, from where you’ll get to witness the spectacular view of mountains and glaciers.

The view and all the vistas you’ll witness will be a place you have never seen before. After that, we will hike back to Syabrubesi and take a vehicle back to Kathmandu.
