Day 2 : Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu
Explore the art, history, and culture of Kathmandu on a sightseeing tour that takes you to UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Your guide will meet you after breakfast to begin the tour, starting at Kathmandu Durbar Square. This complex includes a palace, courtyards, and temples, all beautifully crafted with wood, metal, and stonework. We'll explore the area and visit the museum inside the palace. Next, we'll head to Swayambhunath stupa, a large stupa atop a hill surrounded by Buddha statues and monasteries. After that, we'll visit the oldest Hindu temple, Pashupatinath, which features many ancient temples and statues. Finally, we'll see the impressive Boudhanath stupa, located on a three-layered mandala. Day 3 : Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa

Once you arrive at the hotel, you can check in and rest for a bit before exploring the nearby streets of Lhasa, which offer an array of cultural experiences and local attractions. Take some time to soak up the unique atmosphere of this remarkable city. Tonight, relax and unwind at your hotel in Lhasa.
Day 4 : Sightseeing tour in Lhasa
Your day in Lhasa begins with a delicious breakfast at your hotel, followed by a sightseeing tour of the city. Your knowledgeable guide will explain the historical and religious significance of each site, and you're welcome to ask any questions you may have. The tour includes a visit to Sera Monastery, one of the three great Gelug university monasteries in Tibet. This vast complex features a large assembly hall and three colleges, with whitewashed walls, red-colored art on the ceiling walls, and a golden-colored roof. The monastery is responsible for around 19 hermitages, including four nunneries in the foothills of Lhasa. Next, we'll visit Norbulingka Palace, the magnificent summer residence of the Dalai Lama surrounded by beautiful parks. This ancient palace boasts the world's highest, largest, and best-preserved artificial horticultural garden, blending Tibetan ethnic group sculptures and arts with its architecture. The complex is divided into five distinct sections, each with a beautiful cluster of artistic buildings, chambers, and gardens. Finally, we'll visit Jokhang Temple, an ancient Buddhist temple located on Bakhor street in Lhasa city. The architectural structure of the temple is a mix of Indian Vihara design, Tibetan, and Nepalese design, and is regarded as the spiritual heart of Lhasa city. After a day of exploration, we'll drop you back at your hotel in Lhasa, where you can relax and enjoy the evening.
Day 5 : Second day sightseeing tour in Lhasa
Today's itinerary includes another day of sightseeing tour in Lhasa. After breakfast at your hotel, your guide will pick you up for the tour. The places included in today's tour are: Potala Palace: This grand palace of Dalai Lama is located at a hilltop and dominates the entire Lhasa city. The palace is famous for its grandness, huge complex architecture, and dramatic location. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Drepung Monastery: Located on the Gambo Utse mountain, around 5 kilometers away from Lhasa's western suburb, the Drepung monastery is the largest of all Tibetan monasteries, with over seven thousand monks. At one point, the monastery had ten thousand monks, and it used to be the residence of the Dalai Lama until the grand Potala Palace was built. As you explore these beautiful heritage sites, your guide will provide you with historical and religious insights. After the tour, we will drop you off at your hotel in Lhasa. Spend the rest of your evening at the hotel.
Day 6 : Drive to Shigatse
After having breakfast at the hotel, we will begin our overland journey for the day. We will take a beautiful highway route towards Gyantse. On the way, we will pass by two high mountain passes - Kora La (5010m) and Kamba La (4794m). The mesmerizing beauty of Lake Yamdrok will be a breathtaking sight to behold. In Gyantse, we will visit the famous Pelkor Chode Monastery and the Gyantse Kumbum. After exploring the monasteries, we will continue our scenic drive to Shigatse. Tonight, we will spend our night at a guesthouse in Shigatse.
Day 7 : Drive to Shegar
After having breakfast in the morning, we will visit the Panchen Lama Tashilumpu Monastery in Shigatse. Afterwards, we will continue our journey with a scenic drive to Shegar, passing through the Gyatso La pass, which is at an elevation of 5220 meters. Along the way, we will be able to enjoy the stunning Tibetan landscapes, including charming villages, monasteries, pastures, yak herders, and mountains. Once we reach Shegar, we will check into a guesthouse and have some time to relax. Tonight, we will spend our evening at the guesthouse in Shegar.
Day 8 : Drive to Rongbuk - Everest Base Camp and back to Shegar
After having breakfast at the guesthouse in Shegar, we will continue our journey towards Rongbuk. Upon reaching Rongbuk, we will switch to a local bus to proceed toward the Everest Base Camp on the Tibetan side. During the journey, we will be able to enjoy the breathtaking views of majestic mountains like Mt. Cho-Oyu, Mt. Shisapangma, Mt. Everest, and many other peaks. As we reach the Everest Base Camp, we will disembark from the vehicle and immerse ourselves in the serene beauty of the mountains from a closer distance. We will have plenty of opportunities to capture some stunning pictures and spend some quality time in the base camp. Afterward, we will drive back to Rongbuk. If we have some spare time, we may visit the Rongbuk monastery before driving back to Shegar. We will spend the night at a guesthouse in Shegar.
Day 9 : Drive to Kerung
After having breakfast, we will begin our journey toward Kerung, which is located near the Nepal-Tibet border. During our drive, we will cross Lulang La pass, where we will be able to admire the breathtaking views of mountains such as Mt. Shisapangma and Mt. Cho-Oyu. As we continue along the highway, we will witness some fascinating Tibetan cities and landscapes. Finally, we will arrive at Kerung where we will spend the night at a guesthouse.
Day 10 : Drive to Kathmandu
Today, after breakfast in Kerung, we drive towards the Nepal-Tibet border. We fulfill all the immigration requirements and formalities and bid goodbye to our Tibetan crew at the Nepal-Tibet Friendship bridge. Our Nepalese crew will escort you to a vehicle that will drive back to Nepal's capital city, i.e., Kathmandu. Tonight, spend your time at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 11 : Departure from Kathmandu
This is the day of farewell where you accomplish the journey and leave for your home. Three hours prior to your boarding time, our staff will receive you from your hotel and drop you off at the Tribhuvan International Airport. We really enjoyed hosting you.
