The 1 night 2 days Dhampus Sarangkot Trek is a short and easy trek to the lower part of the Annapurna Region near Pokhara City, suitable for people of all ages. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 : Drive from Pokhara to Sarangkot (1565 m) and hike to Australian Camp (2,055m)

On the first day, trekkers will start their journey by driving from Pokhara to Sarangkot early in the morning. The drive to Sarangkot takes about 40 minutes, and it is essential to arrive there before sunrise to witness the stunning morning view of the mountains.

The top of Sarangkot hill is at an altitude of 1565m, and trekkers can enjoy their breakfast while relishing the sunrise and morning view of the mountains. After breakfast, the trek starts from Sarangkot Hill to the Australian camp. The path from Sarangkot to Kande is a regular straight path. However, the path from Kande to the Australian camp is an uphill trek through magnificent rural villages and dense forests, providing a continuous view of the Himalayan Mountains.

The Australian Camp is located at an altitude of 2055m, where trekkers can relax and have some food. In the evening, the sunset view from the Australian Camp is quite extraordinary, and trekkers can enjoy their dinner before spending the night in a hotel or an outdoor tent.

On the second day, trekkers will wake up to another beautiful sunrise at the Australian Camp. After breakfast and enjoying the beautiful view, they will hike towards the village of Dhampus, which is about a 1.5-hour hike. Along the way, they will be greeted with splendid scenery of villages, vegetation, and mountains. Dhampus village is situated at an altitude of 1694m.

After reaching Dhampus, trekkers can take a rest and relax for a while before starting the downhill trek for about 1 hour until they reach Phedi. From there, they will get on their private bus back to Pokhara, which takes about half an hour.
