Day 2 : Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
After breakfast, you will start the day by exploring the culturally and historically significant sites of Kathmandu. You will visit the Pashupatinath Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most sacred Hindu temples in the world. Next, you will visit Boudhanath Stupa, another UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest stupas in the world. Finally, you will visit Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, which offers stunning views of the Kathmandu Valley. After the sightseeing, you will attend a pre-trek meeting where you will meet your trek guide and discuss the details of the trek.
Day 3 : Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m/2,690ft) and trek to Shyauli Bazar (1,160m/3,800ft)
After breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive to Pokhara, which takes around 6-7 hours or covers a distance of about 200 km / 124 miles. You will pass through the beautiful countryside and picturesque villages, and enjoy stunning views of the Himalayas along the way. Upon reaching Pokhara, you will drive to Nayapul, the starting point of the trek. From Nayapul, you will trek to Shyauli Bazar, a small Gurung village.
Day 4 : Trek from Shyauli Bazar to Ghandruk (1,950m/6,400ft)
Today's trek takes you through beautiful rhododendron forests and terraced fields. You will walk uphill through the forest and reach a village called Kimche, where you can take a break and have some snacks. From there, you will walk through a steep uphill climb to the small village of Chane. After another hour of trekking, you will reach the beautiful Gurung village of Ghandruk, which offers stunning views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre. Here, you can explore the traditional Gurung culture and their lifestyle. You can visit the local museum and learn about the history and culture of the area.
Day 5 : Trek from Ghandruk to Tadapani (2,450m/8,038ft)
Leaving Ghandruk, you will continue on a relatively easy trek through rhododendron forests to reach Tadapani. The trail is mostly uphill and takes you through beautiful forests, which are home to various species of birds and animals. The trail offers some breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, including Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre. Tadapani is situated on a ridge and offers spectacular views of the Himalayan range. In the evening, you can relax and enjoy the beautiful sunset from your hotel.
Day 6 : Trek from Tadapani to Dobato (3,420m/11,218ft)
Today's trek takes you through dense forests of oak and rhododendron. You will climb up to the ridge at Deurali and continue on to Dobato. The trail is steep and challenging, and you will need to take some breaks to catch your breath. However, the trek offers some of the most stunning views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Dobato is a small settlement that offers stunning views of Dhaulagiri and Tukuche.
Day 7 : Trek from Dobato to Khopra Danda (3,450m/11,319ft)
The trail today is relatively easy and takes you through rhododendron forests and open grasslands. You will pass through the small settlement of Bayeli Kharka before reaching Khopra Danda. Khopra Danda is a stunning viewpoint that offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. You can see Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Hiunchuli, and other peaks from here. The viewpoint is also a great place to catch the sunrise and sunset. Here, you can relax and enjoy the stunning scenery before heading back to your hotel for the night.
Day 8 : Rest Day at Khopra Danda and Khayer Lake Exploration (4,500m/14,760ft)
Today's trek is quite challenging as you will climb up to the beautiful Khayer Lake, one of the highest altitude lakes in Nepal. The trail to Khayer Lake is steep and rugged, passing through dense forests, small streams, and rocky terrain. As you reach the top, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Himalayas and the surrounding landscape. Spend some time at the lake, taking in the views and enjoying the serene atmosphere. Then, return back to Khopra Danda, where you will spend the night.
Day 9 : Trek from Khopra Danda to Swanta Village (3000m/9840ft)
From Khopra Danda, you will descend through the beautiful forest and reach the village of Swanta. Along the way, you will pass through small streams, lush forests, and quaint villages. Swanta is a small, traditional village with narrow alleys, stone houses, and terraced fields. You can explore the village and interact with the locals, learning about their culture and way of life. Overnight stay will be in a hotel.
Day 10 : Trek from Swanta to Ghorepani (2860m/9380ft)
Today, you will trek to Ghorepani through the beautiful forest of rhododendron and oak. The trail is relatively easy with some gentle ascents and descents. Along the way, you will pass through small villages and enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Ghorepani is a bustling village with many teahouses and lodges.
Day 11 : Trek from Ghorepani to Poonhill and then to Mohore Danda (3300m/10824ft)
Today, you will start early in the morning to reach Poon Hill, one of the most popular viewpoints in the region. The hike is uphill but relatively easy and takes around an hour to reach the top. From Poon Hill, you will get spectacular views of the sunrise over the Himalayas, including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and other peaks. After spending some time at Poon Hill, you will trek back to Ghorepani and then continue towards Mohare Danda. The trail passes through beautiful forests and small villages, and you will enjoy stunning views of the mountains. Overnight stay will be in a hotel.
Day 12 : Trek from Mohore Danda to Ulleri (1960m/6428ft)
From Mohare Danda, you will descend through the beautiful forest and reach the village of Ulleri. The trail is steep and consists of many stone steps, so it can be quite challenging. Along the way, you will pass through small villages and enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Ulleri is a small village with traditional stone houses and terraced fields. You can explore the village and interact with the locals. Overnight stay will be in a hotel.
Day 13 : Trek from Ulleri to Nayapul to Pokhara (820m/2,690ft)
After breakfast, we will take a scenic drive back to Kathmandu through the beautiful countryside of Nepal. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery and landscapes during the drive. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. You can take some rest or do some last-minute shopping or explore the vibrant streets of Kathmandu.
Day 14 : Drive back to Kathmandu (1,300m/ 4,264ft)
On Day 14, you will leave early from Pokhara and drive back to Kathmandu. The drive will take around 6-7 hours. Along the way, you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the Nepalese countryside. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you can spend the rest of the day at your leisure, exploring the city, shopping for souvenirs, or simply relaxing in your hotel. This is your last night in Nepal, so make the most of it.
Day 15 : Departure from Kathmandu
This is the day of farewell where you accomplish the journey and leave for your home. Three hours prior to your boarding time, our staff will receive you from your hotel and drop you off at the Tribhuvan International Airport. We really enjoyed hosting you.
